If your dog is more than four months old, it must be vaccinated against rabies and be licensed with the city. Owners must present a valid rabies certificate when purchasing a license at the Treasurer's Office. If you mail an application for a pet license, you must enclose a copy of a valid rabies certificate and a check covering the cost of a dog tag. The Treasurer's Office will mail the tag to you. 

Fees

Dog tags are renewed annually in January. If your dog has been registered with the city, you should automatically receive information from the city regarding renewals. The fee is $10 per year for all dogs, and there is a $10 late fee if not purchased by January 31.
